My husband and I are going to try to finish our Christmas shopping today. I stole this from my friend Fa'a's status on Facebook today and am using it without permission:

Grasp of the Obvious
At 5:30 the other morning as I shoveled half a foot of snow off the driveway I heard the back door open and the following conversation transpired with my 6 year old:
"Hey, Mommy?"
"Yes, honey?"
"I just thought I'd let you know that it had snowed."
"Um, yeah, thanks dear."
